THE NEWS FORUM: Canadian Attitudes Towards Health Reform

SecondStreet.org president Colin Craig joined the News Forum program Boon and Bust with Tony Clement to discuss new polling that shows a majority of Canadians are in favour of health reform.

We hired Leger to ask Canadians about four different options for reform: hiring more private clinics to reduce surgical backlogs, allowing Canadians to pay for private care with their own money if they so choose, copying an EU policy to reduce wait times and making health ministers report how many people died due to long wait lists.

The majority of respondents were in favour of each option.

Clement’s show can be seen on The News Forum.
