SURVIVORS OF SOCIALISM: Paul’s Story from Poland

In this installment of SecondStreet.org’s “Survivors of Socialism” series, we sat down with Halifax resident Paul Lenarczyk, who grew up in communist Poland and moved to Atlantic Canada as a child.

Think you’ve been in a long line at a store? Paul talked about how, growing up in Poland, people had to wait in long lines for seemingly everything. To this day, he will still go out of his way to avoid them – including the long lines you often see at Tim Hortons!

The interview is part of SecondStreet.org’s “Survivors of Socialism” research and you can read our report here.
