Government bodies in Canada regularly discuss how everyday Canadians, businesses and other organizations need to reduce their emissions in the name of fighting climate change.

However, something that receives far less attention is how many government policies and activities actually lead to higher emissions.

Our latest policy brief documents 23 examples – both large and small – of how government policies lead to higher emissions and how reviewing such policies can lead to emissions reductions from municipal, provincial and federal governments across Canada.
