SecondStreet.org is a think tank that examines how government policies affect everyday Canadians – for better or worse.
One way we research government policies is by speaking with Canadians directly. This not only helps us understand what’s happening at the grassroots level, these conversations often lead to new research projects.
For example, when speaking with Manitoba patient
Max Johnson, he described an interesting policy in Europe called the
Cross Border Directive. We then researched the policy and put out a policy brief showing how the policy could help reduce wait times in Canada.
