CTV NEWS: More than 3.1 million Canadians on health care wait list amid crisis
SecondStreet.org president Colin Craig joined CTV News to discuss our latest update on the number of Canadians on medical waitlists.
Over 3.1 million Canadians are confirmed to be waiting for surgery, a diagnostic scan, or to see a specialist. Since many provinces didn’t provide complete data, SecondStreet.org estimates the true total to be closer to 5.1 million Canadians waiting.
These numbers are up since SecondStreet.org began tracking this data in November 2022.
