ALEX PIERSON: Poll – Public Schools Headed in Wrong Direction
SecondStreet.org president Colin Craig joined Alex Pierson to discuss the results of a new poll on education.
We hired Leger to ask Canadians if they think the public school system is headed in the right direction. We also asked questions about gender and other sensitive topics in school.
51% think the public education system has generally gone in the wrong direction over the last 20 years while 25% indicated it has gone in the right direction.
57% believe schools should have to inform parents if their child discusses changing their gender pronouns or transitioning. Only 18% disagreed with this statement while 25% didn’t know.
