SecondStreet.org has released its latest report comparing Provincial Achievement Test (PAT) results across Alberta. As with last year’s report, students at charter schools continue to earn top marks compared to their peers. In fact, students at Alberta’s charter schools outperformed their peers at government-run public and Catholic schools across all subjects where comparisons could be made.
Like public schools, charter schools are government funded, however, unlike public schools, they are not government run and are instead governed by an independent board.
