ALEX PIERSON: Canadians Overwhelmingly Support Reimbursement for Surgery Abroad
SecondStreet.org President Colin Craig joined Alex Pierson to discuss a new poll that shows Canadians are overwhelmingly in favour of reimbursement for surgery abroad.
We hired Leger to ask Canadians what they think about the European Union’s Cross-Border Directive. In short, it’s a policy that lets EU citizens travel to another EU country, pay for surgery, then be reimbursed by their home government for up to what it would have cost to have the procedure done locally.
74% of Canadians are in favour of their provincial government copying this EU policy.
