POLICY BRIEF: How to Make Housing Affordable in Canada
The dream of owning a home has been getting more difficult for years, as housing prices rise.
SecondStreet.org has published a new policy brief going over some ways government can make it easier to afford a home.
For example, raising the threshold for GST exemptions on homes, eliminating or reducing land transfer taxes, and making it easier for builders to get new housing projects done.
