In Ontario alone, the government indicated that 1,096 patients died last year while waiting for surgery and 6,491 patients died while waiting for MRI and CT scans.

Stories of patient suffering are all too common across Canada. Is it time that Canada looked at health care systems in other countries and allowed patients to pay for private surgeries?
