SURVIVORS OF SOCIALISM: Marco’s Story From Nicaragua
In this installment of SecondStreet.org’s “Survivors of Socialism” series, we sat down with Marco Navarro-Genié – an Alberta resident who came to Canada from Nicaragua and saw the devastating affects of socialism in his home country.
Marco told us about the abhorrent human rights abuses that the Nicaraguan government committed against his family and its citizens following the socialist revolution of 1979, and provides a dire warning to those advocating for socialism in Canada.
