POLICY BRIEF: Can Cross-Border Healthcare Be the Safety Valve for Waiting Lists in Canada?

SecondStreet.org and the Montreal Economic Institute hired Fred Roeder, a European Health Economist to write a brief report on the European Union’s Cross Border Directive – a policy that allows patients to be reimbursed for health expenses in other EU countries. In collaboration with Emmanuelle B. Faubert from MEI, Roeder examines the history of the policy and how it could help patients in Canada.
